DAILY JOB OF AN EGAN OPERATING ENGINEER 

The daily job of an operating engineer involves driving, maneuvering, or controlling heavy machinery used in construction. They work with several types of power construction equipment to move construction materials, earth, and other heavy materials at construction sites. Operating engineers also clear and grade land for the construction of roads, bridges, buildings, and other commercial developments.

 All of these tradespeople are proud members of Local Union 49 and 160.

Why Do You Need Bipolar Ionization?

The road to cleaner and healthier indoor air begins with bipolar ionization technology. Bipolar ionization is an air purification process that works to deactivate airborne bacteria. This process improves filter effectiveness, indoor air quality, and eliminates odors at their source.

HOW BIPOLAR IONIZATION WORKS:

Let’s break this process down. As air flows through purification tubes, this technology releases charged ions, energizing the air and creating bipolar (both positive and negative) ions. As a result, millions of positive and negative ions are created, causing airborne particles to cluster. The charged ions disrupt the bonding of bacteria cells effectively deactivating them.

ADVANTAGES OF IMPLEMENTING BIPOLAR IONIZATION:

The list of reasons your facility needs bipolar ionization technology is endless. First and foremost, unlike many other air purification processes, bipolar ionization replicates a naturally-occurring process so it doesn’t leave an odor nor is it harmful to facility inhabitants. Throughout this process dust particles, bacteria, and anything else floating through the air is diminished.  

Second, installation of bipolar ionization systems does not require HVAC systems to be re-engineered, but rather can be installed directly in the ductwork or air unit. Since there is no filter to change, maintenance is necessary less frequently, only occurring when ionization tubes need to be replaced.

We are Egan Control Panel Technicians

Egan Company has provided control panel services since 2002. Our skilled technicians are members of Local Union 292. Our panels are used in a variety of industries, including food processing facilities, grain mills, canning lines, material handling and processing, packaging, plastic molding, concrete batching plants, and more.

DAILY JOB OF AN EGAN CONTROL PANEL TECHNICIAN

Control panel technicians assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels in our UL 508A panel shop. Our technicians work closely with in-house control engineers who design schematics and layouts for each panel. By testing every panel, our technicians ensure the quality and performance of the panels before they leave the production facility. 

The panels built in our UL 508A panel shop are the brains behind our customers’ manufacturing or automated processes. These complex panels control everything from mixers, conveyors, and motors to pumps, lights, valves—and everything in between.

In 1945, Egan Company was founded as a family-owned plumbing shop and these services have been a part of who we are ever since! Our plumbers are proud members of Local Unions 6, 15, and 34.  Egan plumbers work in many different facilities, including commercial and government, high-rise, industrial, manufacturing, and hospitals.

DAILY JOB OF AN EGAN PLUMBER

Plumbers install, maintain, and repair plumbing and pipe systems that carry liquids or gases. Every day looks different due to the variety of piping systems Egan installs, including water supply lines, natural gas, sanitary waste, storm drain piping, acid waste piping, RPZs, and medical gas systems. Plumbers often work with other Egan trades, which streamlines the overall project process.
