Rounding out 2023 with our annual week of giving capped off a great year. Egan’s shareholders connected with local groups, nonprofits, and organizations in December with charitable donations to help positively impact the communities in which we live and work. From children’s hospitals and healthcare facilities to local food banks and everything in between, the following causes were selected by the Egan team as organizations that align with our purpose and values:
- Helping the research and advocacy efforts to mitigate some of the biggest threats Americans face through American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.
- Families who are going through hard times can still have a fun and memorable holiday season thanks to Best Christmas Ever.
- Life-changing heart diagnoses are treated with excellent care thanks to the team and research happening at Children’s Heart Clinic at Children’s Minnesota.
- State-of-the-art research and treatments are continually being delivered to children facing difficult illnesses. Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and St Jude Children’s Research Hospital of Minnesota are there to treat patients and their families through it all. Egan Company chairman of the Board Duane Hendricks and his wife Linda made a personal donation to both of these organizations.
- Fueling groundbreaking research, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is supporting local families as they navigate life with diabetes.
- Preparing the next generation of trades works! Our team is promoting the future of local youth through Lake Street Works.
- Providing pups with loving, safe homes is what it’s all about at Minnesota Greyhound Rescue.
- Polycystic kidney disease is being treated and researched thanks to the team at PKD Foundation Twin Cities.
- To “roger up” is to ask the question, “Are you okay?” Vets can find mental health support through Roger Up!.
- Families undergoing extended hospital stays can find comfort and care at Ronald McDonald House Charities (Rochester and Twin Cities).
- Feeding families throughout the community is made possible thanks to Second Harvest Heartland Food Bank.
- The local park system provides hours of fun for families throughout the area who visit the Three Rivers Park District Foundation.
- Ending the stigma around mental health and providing resources to the community is at the heart of the mission at Thumbs Up.
- Children with terminal and life-threatening illnesses can find a bit of joy and hope when they have a wish granted through the Wishes & More Children’s Wish Foundation.
Check out the great work that these organizations are doing for our communities on their sites!
