SPECIALTIES FEATURED WITH THIS PROJECT:
Electrical // Mechanical // InterClad // Technology Systems
- This newly built, multi-purpose facility, officially called “Hocokata Ti”, serves as a community gathering space, cultural activity site, and public exhibit chronicling the history of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux tribe.
- Egan provided its integrated expertise for the electrical, mechanical, and glass/glazing (InterClad) scopes for this project.
- All electrical and mechanical systems were completed by Egan throughout the 84,000+ square foot space including all rough-ins and electrical controls. A theatrical lighting system was installed in the 20,000 square foot gathering/performance arena.
- Bordering the facilities exterior are seven 40-foot tipis. Three of the tipis are connected to the building and include customized halo lighting provided by Egan. Electrical wiring to all of the Sage glass controls was also provided.
- InterClad's work included the installation of serpentine curtainwall, Sage glass, store front windows, aluminum doors, glass doors, skylights and handrails. With the distinctive architectural design of the structure, the team used Trimble® Robotic Total Station for more efficient installation on a portion of the building.
- Additionally, Egan’s team installed DAS (Distributed Antenna System) and a Public Safety 800 MHz system within the facility.
