SPECIALTIES FEATURED WITH THIS PROJECT:

Electrical Construction

  • Harnessing energy to create enough power for 9,000 homes each year, the 49-megawatt-producing, Hoot Lake Solar farm is Egan’s largest solar project to date.
  • By the numbers, it looks something like this: 355 acres, 128,946 solar panels installed, 16 medium voltage inverters, 258 combiner boxes, 63,000 feet of trenching, and 60,000 feet of medium voltage cable.
  • Striving to find the most efficient and effective solutions and processes, Egan’s solar team continues to innovate within the industry. Working toward the best option, the crew has found unique tools and equipment to fast track repetitive processes and keep production rates moving swiftly. This project utilized a fixed tilt system.
  • Over the course of this project, the field team has done what others said could not be done: employed 20-40 trades workers through the winter. Pushing through the cold, wind, and the snow, the Egan team was able to make great strides through these “typical indoor” months. (note: work was not completed on days where it was deemed unsafe to be outside).
