SPECIALTIES FEATURED WITH THIS PROJECT:
Industrial Controls
- Ongoing upgrades to the city of Delano’s indoor ice rink, as well as the build of a new outdoor rink prompted the complete installation of a brand new refrigeration controls system.
- Egan Company’s Industrial Controls team partnered with Gartner Refrigeration to take on the electrical scope of work, including overhauling the antiquated equipment, installing a new motor control center (MCC) and corresponding electrical for the engine room, and integrating the new Refrigeration-IQ™ controls system.
- The state-of-the-art cooling system utilizes a glycol cooling technology and geothermal heat exchange using well water. This process feeds into two different loops, preventing contamination and enabling greater control of both rinks.
- In order to effectively design the refrigeration controls, Egan utilized full BIM capabilities, including Trimble system scanning, revit, and navisworks for modeling and planning.
- The control panels were built in Egan’s UL 508A Panel Shop in Champlin, Minn.
- Egan’s Refrigeration-IQ™ controls system provides remote access, temperature alarming, and user-friendly controls, making operating and troubleshooting the equipment easy and intuitive.
