- Bio-Techne Corporation is set to open its new state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) facility in St. Paul, Minn. The approximately 61,000 square foot manufacturing facility is dedicated to supporting large-scale production of GMP grade materials needed for cell and gene therapies.
- Egan’s automation team provided all of the building automation systems (BAS) for the new facility including controls, heating, and cooling for the air handlers, roof top units, chillers, district energy heat, and boilers.
- Environmental monitoring systems (EMS) controls were also provided, which monitor the process rooms temperature and humidity of the equipment, including coolers and freezers.
- Egan’s scope of work also included all of the controls wiring for the process equipment that manufactures the product.
- The U.L. 508A Panel Shop (located in Egan’s Champlin location) built 12 control panels for the new facility based on the specifications provided.
- Several new systems were installed by Egan’s technology team in the facility, including a mass notification fire alarm system, security system, interior and exterior cameras, a card access system and a door interlock system throughout the clean rooms.
