In an effort to foster greater collaboration among approximately 700 researchers, 3M commissioned a new collaborative work environment with LEED Certification.
Egan installed a 90,000 square foot penthouse in addition to 15 miles of heating and cooling pipe, 16 miles of plumbing and lab gas piping, 900,000 pounds of sheet metal, and 5, 300 unique 3M manufacture light fixtures.
Electrical work included three high voltage switchboards, 350 panel boards and transformers, a 750KW generator, and over 2,000ft of 480V & 208V bus duct runs.
Mechanical work included high pressure steam, medium pressure steam, low pressure steam, hot water process piping, compressed air and condensate, nitrogen piping, lab water, and tempered water.
