  • The Oldcastle IPG facility in Florence, TX upgraded its concrete batching controls with a brand-new IntelliBatch® system.
  • The legacy hardware in the plant was removed and replaced by Egan Company’s concrete batch team.
  • New controls equipment was designed to improve the consistency, quality, reporting and efficiency of concrete batching. The equipment included a new aggregate handling remote panel, remote operator pedestal station, and Ethernet-controlled Allen-Bradley VFDs to enable precise mud delivery speed control via the IntelliBatch® system.
  • Egan provided its electrical expertise to manage all on-site panel swaps, wiring, and hardware updates.
  • The project scope also included the custom system design and programming, commissioning, and on-site training to provide plant managers and equipment operators with the knowledge and expertise to work the equipment.
